What do you get when you cross a thriller writing genius with a hall of fame sportswriter? You get one hell of a fantastic book, that’s what. Written by James Patterson and Mike Lupica, The House of Wolves has been quoted as being bolder than Yellowstone and more cutthroat than Succession, and I have to agree. In this family it is definitely eat or be eaten!

Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Jenny Wolf has had to battle her brothers all her life, from minor bloodshed to all out brawls—even going so far as to break her brother’s nose. When her father, who she had disowned, dies, and leaves the family dynasty to her, the gloves really come off.

One brother thinks the NFL team should rightfully be his, another had his sights set on the family newspaper. Neither of them are getting what they want. There is one wolf in particular that is lurking in the shadows determined to take it all at any cost. So, who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? They all should be!

Overall, I thought it was good. I mean, I must have. Because again, I plowed right through the whole thing in a little under two days. It may have helped a little that I was laid up with the Vid again— The Co…vid… but that’s a whole other discussion. I did feel like I was left hanging a little at the end, for me it just kind of fizzled out, or maybe that just means I wanted more. Either way, you should read The House of Wolves yourself and let me know what you think in the comments section below.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

In a world where each side of the podium is constantly screaming fake news, fake news. It was interesting to see just how easy it would be for a newspaper, or I guess any news outlet, to distort the truth to fit their own agenda. You get that and more in this book!

Being a football lover myself— SEEEEAAA HAAWWKS— It was fun having a peek inside what it might be like owning an NFL team, especially as a woman… sorry boys, it’s not just an old man’s club anymore. However, I’m not sure I would want to battle this family for it. They are one mean bunch, and this pack of wolves will eat you alive!

Note: This post deals with the subject matter of football. If you are not a Seahawks fan, well… I guess we can’t all have good taste all of the time. At least you are here reading this blog, that shows there is hope for you yet… Hang in there little buddy!

If you have yet to read this one, you can get it here on Amazon or get if for free when you sign up for a free trial from Audible.

Until next time, stay brash, stay bookish, stay true to you and for the love of God, convert to the Seahawks… C’monnn, you know you want to.
