I had actually just downloaded The Housemaid and then I saw someone on BookTok mention that The Housemaid was a must read, but this one was an ‘Absolutely Must Read!’ So naturally, I had to download it immediately.
This book is a glorious mash of suspense, raw emotions, and twists that turn more than a cheap garden hose. McFadden’s storytelling prowess is on full display here, offering us a front-row seat into the tumultuous journey of the protagonist.

This ending was one twist that I figured out about two seconds too late. But hey, that’s the beauty of a good suspense novel, right? It keeps you on your toes and makes you question everything, and even when you’re wrong, it kinda makes it oh-so-right!
