When she returns home to the small town of Mackinac Island to evaluate her options, she runs headfirst into Brick Callan’s mile-wide chest. He is the last person on Mackinac Island she would want to see. If you love a good frenemies to lovers storyline, you might want to check this one out.

I also really loved the stand alone, “By a Thread.” This book is a steamy, grumpy-boss romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story revolves around Dominic Russo a fashion designer, and Ally Morales, the waitress that he got fired, that his mother just happened to hire. They have a history of rivalry and hate each other’s guts. But when they are forced to work together on a project, they realize that there’s more to each other than meets the eye. The sexual tension and chemistry between them are off the charts. This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a perfect example of Lucy Score’s witty writing style.
And last but not least, I loved “Things We Hide From the Light” – This book is a heartwarming story of love, forgiveness, and second chances. It centers around two people, Nash and Lina, who have a complicated past. They were in love when they were young, but certain events tore them apart. Years later, they meet again and realize that their feelings for each other never really went away. Lina has her own secrets that she isn’t willing to share, and Nash is battling his own set of demons. I think I may have actually snorted I was laughing so hard while reading this book.
No matter what you choose, Lucy Score, is a talented author who knows how to write stories that will touch your heart and make you smile. Her books are a perfect example of what romantic comedies should be— funny, smart, and sexy. If you haven’t read any of her books yet, you really are missing out.
