Find Her by Lisa Gardner

Lisa Gardner is one of my favorite authors, and I absolutely loooove the Detective DD Warren series. She is a kickass, no-nonsense detective and she always gets her man!

Find Her is number eight in the series—and l loved it just as much as I did the first seven.

This book introduces us to Flora Dane—who will make an appearance in other books down the line.

While on Spring break, Flora Dane was kidnapped and held in a pine box for 472 days. Let out by her captor only to satisfy his own masochistic needs, Flora learned just how much a person could endure.

Now seven years later, with some defensive training under her belt, Flora is navigating her way through what she considers her new normal. She’s got her eyes wide open and trained on what may become the death of her—more local women have gone missing, and Flora has made it her mission to help.

When the body of one of the missing girls turns up, and Flora once again goes MIA, detective D.D. Warren wonders if Flora a victim? Or is she a vigilante?

Soon D.D. realizes someone much more sinister is at work, someone that is determined that this time, Flora will not make it out alive. Now it’s up to D.D. to stop this killer once and for all.

I listened to this one on Audible and the passion in Flora’s thoughts really came through. I’m interested to see if any of you that read this book feel the same way. Did that same passion come through on the page?

There is a rumor that this one was adapted into a movie, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find it.
