You Shouldn’t Have Come Here, Geneva Rose

I’m actually in the middle of reading this one, and so far, it’s pretty good!

In this highly anticipated new thriller from the USA Today and #1 bestselling author of The Perfect Marriage.

A playful romance turns into a complicated web of lies.

Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. Handsome Rancher by the name of Calvin Wells is eager to introduce her to his laid-back way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

As her departure date nears, Grace grows wary of Calvin as his infatuation for her seems to have morphed to obsession. Calvin fears that Grace is hiding something from him—including her reason for staying at his ranch to begin with. Vacation flings typically end in heartbreak, but for Grace and Calvin, it’ll be far more destructive. (Via the book cover)

Happy Place, Emily Henry

From #1 New York Times and Sunday Times Bestselling Author, Emily Henry comes the most anticipated book of 2023.

This gives new meaning to the term, fake it until you make it!

Harriet and Wyn had been the perfect couple since college, until five months ago… when they broke up… and didn’t tell their best friends.

The cottage that their friend group rents each year in Maine is for sale and this is the last time they’ll all have together in this place. Not wanting to ruin it for the whole group, Harriet and Wyn keep their break-up to themselves.

After years of being in love, how hard can it be to fake it for one week…in front of those who know you best?

23rd Midnight, James Patterson

I’m listening to this one Audible right now and loving it!

In the 23rd installment of the Women’s Murder Club, by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro a copycat is on the loose.

He is recreating murders from serial killer Evan Burke, and raising havoc with the entire Murder Club, can they stop him in time?

I love the Women’s Murder Club! I’ve been hooked since the 1st to Die! This and the Alex Cross series are my absolute favorites.

Greenlights, Matthew McConaughey

I just finished this book, and I absolutely loved it! It was way better than alright, alright, alright! Okayyy… maybe that was a bit cheesy, but this book definitely is not.

I, of course listened to it on Audible so I could hear it straight from Matthew’s mouth, but I suppose reading it may be okay too.

From the humorous and very touching stories he tells about his early childhood to his journey down under, staying with the host family in the foreign exchange program, to his rise to stardom. It was very inspiring. If you want more Matthew, I would highly recommend you check out his online course, The Art of Livin’.

The Only One Left, Riley Sager

I cannot tell you how excited I am for this one! I love Riley Sager and have been waiting as patiently as I can for this to come out! 6 more weeks and I will have it in my fat little hands! …insert evil laughter here.

Bestselling author Riley Sager returns with a Gothic chiller about a young caregiver assigned to work for a woman accused of a Lizzie Borden-like massacre decades earlier.

At seventeen, Lenora Hope
Hung her sister with a rope

Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope’s End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred.

Stabbed her father with a knife
Took her mother’s happy life

It’s now 1983, and home-health aide Kit McDeere arrives at a decaying Hope’s End to care for Lenora after her previous nurse fled in the middle of the night. In her seventies and confined to a wheelchair, Lenora was rendered mute by a series of strokes and can only communicate with Kit by tapping out sentences on an old typewriter. One night, Lenora uses it to make a tantalizing offer—I want to tell you everything.

“It wasn’t me,” Lenora said
But she’s the only one not dead

As Kit helps Lenora write about the events leading to the Hope family massacre, it becomes clear there’s more to the tale than people know. But when new details about her predecessor’s departure come to light, Kit starts to suspect Lenora might not be telling the complete truth—and that the seemingly harmless woman in her care could be far more dangerous than she first thought.
